ZX3 Rear Shocks

Removal
  1. Remove the luggage compartment interior trim panel.
  2. Remove the shock absorber top mounting nut.
    • CAUTION: Use an Allen key to prevent the piston rod rotating.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle.
  4. Remove the shock absorber.


Installation

Note: The final tightening of the suspension components must be carried out with the vehicle weight on the road wheels.

  1. Install the lower mounting bolt and washer loosely.
  2. Guide the shock absorber strut into the locating hole.
    • Lower the vehicle.
  3. Install the top mounting nut.
    • CAUTION: Use an Allen key to prevent the piston rod rotating.
  4. Install the luggage compartment trim panel.
  5. Tighten the lower mounting bolt.

Note: The final tightening of the suspension components must be carried out with the vehicle weight on the road wheels.
